All smiles shall go by
When this poem is read out
Making everyone uncomfortable
A taboo is spoken for all
Bled for the first time
Shock and sorrow brought tears to my eyes
A gift that I failed to realize
I have become a women now
Stained myself, hiding from others
Ran towards the loo
Cause no one should know
I am the women who bloomed
Hush the tone, lowered my eyes
Started those five days of impure life
Speaking the truth that was passed on
I have become a tainted soul now
Voice within myself, trying to break free
A fabricated truth has build my life
Message that we should pass on
Bleeding days of our life is no big deal at all

Truly touching
